B.C. Reg. 119/2005, deposited March 18, 2005, pursuant to the TOBACCO SALES ACT [Section 11]. Order in Council 281/2005, approved and ordered March 17, 2005.
On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective April 15, 2005, the Tobacco Sales Regulation, B.C. Reg. 216/94, is amended
1 by repealing section 3 (1) (a) and (c) and substituting the following:
(a) a 10 cm x 10 cm decal, affixed to the side of each cash register facing purchasers being served at that cash register, stating
"Tobacco is the number one preventable cause of death and disease. It is illegal to sell tobacco to anyone under 19 years of age. Valid photo ID may be required.",
(c) a 17 cm x 35 cm decal, as set out in Schedule 1, on view in front of every place in the business location where tobacco products are displayed for sale.
2 by repealing Schedule 1 and substituting the following:
