Definitions

1 In this regulation:

"Act" means the Health Professions Act;

"occupational performance" means the ability to choose, organize and effectively and safely perform everyday activities necessary for self-care and participation in educational, leisure, home management and work activities.

College name

2 The name "College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia" is the name of the college established under section 15 (1) of the Act for occupational therapy.

Reserved title

3 The title "occupational therapist" is reserved for exclusive use by registrants.

Scope of practice

4 A registrant may assess occupational performance and modify human and environmental conditions to maintain, restore or enhance occupational performance and health.

Patient relations program

5 The college is designated for the purposes of section 16 (2) (f) of the Act.
